PUTRAJAYA, April 18 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi wants the Perak government to continue implementing projects and programmes that are beneficial to the people and investors, Perak Menteri Besar Mohammad Nizar Jamaludin said Friday.
Mohammad Nizar, who met Abdullah at his office here, said the prime minister had also asked for cooperation from the Perak government to ensure that the 329km double-track project from Rawang to Perlis, which passes through Perak, could be implemented efficiently.
In the one-hour meeting from 12 noon Friday, Mohammad Nizar also conveyed the state government's wishes that the federal government continue implementing federal projects in the state.
This include the Northern Corridor Economic Region as well as airport, port, natural gas pipeline and other infrastructure projects, he told reporters after the meeting.
Mohammad Nizar also said that Abdullah had hinted that he would be visiting Perak sometime in the future.
