MAJU Perak Berhad chairman Datuk Nadzri Ismail has resigned from the post, effective April 30.
Nadzri, who is Manjoi assemblyman, said he made the decision as a matter of principle as he was appointed to the post by the Barisan Nasional prior to the March 8 general election.
His resignation letter was submitted to the Maju Perak Berhad board of directors on April 30, he said.
“I hope whoever chosen by the Pakatan Rakyat Government to be the new chairman will continue with the mission to help the Perak Malays with their economic development,” he told Bernama when contacted.
He also expressed his satisfaction on the performance of the company during the past four years when he was the chairman.
