IPOH: May 3, 2008
Perak senior executive councillor Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham has replaced former Infrastructure and Public Utilities committee chairman Datuk Ho Cheng Wang as director of Perak Water Board (PWB).
Ngeh's appointment, which was effective April 14, leaves the board with two vacancies to be filled by state government appointees, and one by a federal government appointee.
The board usually has eight directors serving a two-year term.
According to PWB general manager Datuk Mohd Yusof Mohd Isa, Ho resigned from his post recently, along with Slim state assemblyman Datuk Mohd Khusairi Abdul Talib and MCA assistant secretary Liew Mun Hon.
"A representative from the Federal Treasury also retired early last month," Mohd Yusof told reporters after a board meeting chaired by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Nizar Jamaluddin yesterday.
